The worlds eyes have been focused on Syria this week because of the tragedy that has taken place there. The Syrian government used chemical weapons against Syrian citizens and killed about 100 people. Videos of the children who lost their lives have been flooding the internet.
While all eyes have been focused there, President Trump has been up to something else. After sending a missile air strike to Syria’s military airfield, Donald Trump was busy sending an even bigger message. I hope North Korea is listening because President Trump’s actions are speaking loud and clear.
After Pyongyang’s most recent missile test, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson issued a terse statement that showed the Trump administration meant business.
“North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile,” the statement read, according to CNN. “The United States has spoken enough about North Korea. We have no further comment.”
However, what happened in Syria Thursday could definitely be considered further comment. When Syria and North Korea crossed red lines under Barack Obama, they received nothing but a strong warning from the administration.
Our new president doesn’t play around, he says what he means and means what he says! The world has to know that we aren’t a bunch of snowflakes any more!
