It’s not Trey Gowdy or David Clarke or Jared Kushner or any of the other people the media have been speculating about. Donald Trump has decided to replace disgraced FBI Director James Comey with…Nobody. After reviewing his duties as chief executive and reading an assessment of the FBI under Comey for the past three years, President Trump has decided to add the job to his own list of responsibilities.
Jeff Derpinger of the White House OIP explained the move to reporters in the East Room earlier today:
“President Trump has noted that the primary duties of the FBI Director include managing the deputies under him and making the difficult decisions as they come up the ladder. He feels those decisions are best suited to come directly from the Oval Office and that the deputies are capable professionals who basically manage themselves.
In essence, Comey was more of a fugurehead until it came time to make a decision on a case like the Clinton email scandal, on which he dropped the ball several times.
President Trump will be making those decisions from now on. Before you bother to ask — yes, Hillary Clinton will be prosecuted for her crimes and no, the investigation into ‘Russian collusion’ into our elections, which is a huge load of crap, will not continue.”
The news is a bit shocking and infuriating to the left but a welcome development to those who stand behind President Trump as he drains the swamp and holds the politicians of Washington accountable for their actions. When asked for a comment, Trump simply said, “Nobody is above the law. Now they’ll learn who’s really in charge.”
