Billionaire Mark Cuban on Monday brushed aside the criticism of Barack Obama‘s speaking fees, saying the former president should actually be charging more than $400,000 for his appearances.
“Charge more,” Cuban said during the inaugural episode of “The Fox News Specialists.”
The owner of the Dallas Mavericks added that Obama should “get paid.”
Obama received criticism from both sides of the aisle last week following a report saying he would be paid $400,000 to speak to Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald’s healthcare conference in September.
Progressives slammed Obama over the speaking fee, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who said it was “unfortunate.”
Cuban has recently dropped hints about his own political future, telling Business Insider in February “we will see” when asked if he would someday make a fun for the White House.
